Hello Paul - I'm not actually putting myself forward here ("too late" they cried ;-), but just wanted to quickly demonstrate how our names link back to LinkedIn, if we use that option to login to the site.
(Just click on my name below people...)

More LinkedIn Recruitment evolution.
My thanks to members of the UK Recruitment Professionals LinkedIn Group, for spotting this...
http://talent.linkedin.com/talentpipeline
...which I think should also help us all in sales / selling recruiting and applying, in future?
That Group were discussing whether LI profiles have become more important than our CV's, with a consensus answer being a pretty clear "Yes".

sales and marketing
Hi Paul,
I am a new graduate of Heriot-Watt University in Business Administration and I am seeking my first professional steps in the industry in order to widen my knowledge and start a career in sales and marketing which I really like. I had a previous work experience in marketing in Senegal one year ago. I would really appreciate any help from you
Thanks

Log in with LinkedIn
Hi Aissatou - Just whilst Paul is picking up on that request and you, may I also explain a little more about our Log in with LinkedIn button?
It has its shortcomings, like whisking us all back to the home page, meaning you have to then find this discussion again (back to "search" or this one is under Employment - Current Vacancies), and which I have on my "fix it" and "to do" lists. But it took me only a second to find you on LinkedIn...
http://www.linkedin.com/pub/aissatou-faye/32/330/9b3
...and profiles like that, in every sense in modern selling and business, are what will make all the difference - rather than having passwords and profiles for a million different places and reasons that we want to engage with each other.
One other "bug" might be that our system here won't let you in, using that, until you have at least added a photo, but I'd suggest you also need that for all the other reasons as well.
So if you'd care to update it, and then try the login with LinkedIn this time (telling the system that you are over-writing an existing account with us) - I hope you'll find that improves matters. And you and this are just an early example for all the people who will be following behind you, of course, so congratulations on being even this much of an early-adopter, modern seller, and yes indeed I'm sure Paul and Pareto Law can help you go further and faster.
Kind regards - Neil

LinkedIn in Recruitment generally...
We actually featured Phil Roebuck and James Caan (the ex-Dragon) way back in the day, when just looking at "the internet" as a necessary sales communication and research tool anyway....
http://www.modernselling.com/work-tools/sales-software-systems-technology/sales-2.0-video-20103645.aspx
....(watch the video).
But here Phil now pops up discussing how LinkedIn profiles (complete, active and working variety) are also the major new requirement for recruiters everywhere...
http://www.linkedin.com/groups/LinkedIn-is-vital-key-webrecruit-1988204.S.97013545
So it's not just us here on ModernSelling.com, is the point I'm making, and our profiles and web presence is going to affect everything, from the work we do day to day, through to any new or changing career moves.
