| This is me - Sean McPheat - let's talk. |
With the ISMM's Successful Selling Conference now behind me I'm moving from keynoting at that event to hosting my own Sales Summit next month, on the 17th November at Heathrow - it's true what they say about no rest for the wicked!
I'm going to be covering how to use Social Media to prospect and close sales which I touched on in The Seller's Tale webinar:
I'm also going to get you to take a look at how you are currently selling in a unique "Sean McPheat Sales Audit" - be afraid, be very afraid!
Here's what David Brent ("Brenty" to me!) had to say about the event when he popped in to see us...
Some common questions I've been receiving about the Sales Summit are:
Q: Is it more B2B (Business to Business) or B2C (Business to Consumer) selling?
A: B2B (Next!)
Q: How many sessions am I presenting?
A: I'm presenting two sessions and there are another two sessions as well.
The first one is the Ultimate Sales Audit, where I will be showing you an unusual take on the selling process where I will rip your sales approach to pieces so that you can thoroughly analyse what is going on - so you can understand the dynamics at play.
The second session I am presenting is on eselling(R), where I will show you will how you can use the internet to network with key decision makers, listen for leads, position yourself as an industry expert and improve the quality of your content. You will also learn how to use the internet to prospect, research your market and competitors, and boost your personal branding. Plus, I will also show you how to use social media within your business. but in the right way.
Q: What will you be covering in your eselling(R) session that hasn't already been covered in the book?
A: There are certain tools, tips and tricks that have to be covered in a live environment. I will be demonstrating the ones that I'm currently testing and the ones that are most applicable to the audience (we are sending out pre Summit objectives to every delegate so I know what would be most suited to them!)

Feedback from Successful Selling 2011
Nice one Sean - and there's Brenty - wondered where he'd got to!
I've read the book and saw your gig at SS2011 - but am acutely aware that I have plenty more to do and learn in all of this. It's scary-new, and very problematic, especially I imagine for any of our fellow sales professionals who are part of an established sales team and set up.
Thought you might enjoy a bit of feedback from SS2011 though, in the meantime, where a couple of very senior looking management types were walking out of the Ricoh centre alongside me, and one says to t'other...
"He was very good, that last bloke, didn't you think?"
...and that was YOU! Just a bit of Brand You to reinforce - like remember my name - please! - and you've cracked it.
(And yes, I did slip him one of those old-fashioned bits of card with ModSell on it, 'cos I just knew you'd show up here too - and thanks for that ;-)
Hope the Summit is a sell-out, and watch out folks... the force is strong, in this one.
Best - Neil
