The US Customs and Border Protection agency has confirmed that UK travellers are to be charged to visit America from next month.
Although the move is unlikely to have much impact on business travellers, British tourists may wish to avoid paying a fee for the online ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) form, by submitting their details early.
From 8 September the ESTA submission will cost $14 (£9). Of this, $10 will go to a fund to promote US tourism and $4 to administration.
