| MPro150: robust feature set. |
Making a professional presentation has never been easier thanks to the new, entirely cable-free, ultra-portable MPro150 projector. Manufacturer 3M is billing the product as the ‘ultimate personal electronics device for the business, IT and creative professional’.
Launched on 30 March by 3M, the MPro150 really is portable, measuring just over 125mm long and weighing in at only 160 grams. A little larger than a mobile phone, this device may be exactly what the mobile salesperson is looking for, because it is robust, easy to operate and can run pre-loaded presentations so you don’t need to fiddle about with a laptop.
No need to replace bulb
3M claims that the MPro150 boasts one of the most robust feature sets of any pocket projector currently on the market: the cordless, handheld device has a two-hour battery life, while the LED light source means there is no need for a replacement bulb.
Pre-load presentations
Standard features include a 1 GB internal memory, micro SD card slot and a USB input for transferring files from a laptop or netbook, so you can pre-load and run entire presentations on the projector itself with no need for a pass through device.
‘No more carrying around a laptop, portable speakers, cumbersome projector and MP3 player. Simply download files, switch on and project,’ promises 3M.
The MPro150 supports Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), Apple products, Adobe PDF, photos (BMP and JPG) and videos (MPEG-4 and H.264), allowing preseneters to project images up to 50 inches. When not projecting from internal memory or micro SD card, the MPro150 will also project from a computer, iPod, iTouch and devices with video out.
Theatre-on-the-go
What’s more, the device doubles as music player, so en route to that important presentation, you can relax with your favourite tunes, courtesy of the MPro150’s integrated MP3 player and headphone jack. Then, when it’s time to share with colleagues, a pair of integrated stereo speakers turn the MPro150 into a ‘theatre-on-the-go’.
Additional features include an integrated flip stand, tripod and a variety of input cables, which make the MPro150 ready to use ‘out-of-the-box’ with a wide range of today’s most popular video output gadgets. Optional accessories include an adapter cable for Apple products, component video cable and car charger.
The 3M MPro150 is now available to pre-order from shop3M.com, Amazon and selected high-street retailers including Dixons Travel and Micro Anvika at a recommended retail price of £349.99 including VAT. ModernSelling.com will be featuring a full review of the product shortly.
